Mass Wing Cadets Meet with State Legislators
On February 5, eight cadets from the Massachusetts Wing traveled to Boston to meet with state legislators. Representing the Westover Composite Squadron and Brig. General Arthur J. Pierce Cadet Squadron, the cadets received a behind-the-scenes look at the Senate chamber.
State Senator Jacob Oliveira (representing Hampden, Hampshire, and Worcester) and State Representative Homer Gomez (representing the 2nd Hampshire District) met with the cadets to discuss their roles in government, how they represent Western Massachusetts communities, and what it takes to run for elected office.
The Massachusetts Wing aims to schedule more visits in the future to continue strengthening relationships between CAP and state officials.
