Coastal Patrol 18 hosted their annual Wreaths Across America ceremony at Bourne National Cemetery on Dec. 14, 2024. Hundreds of participants joined them as squadron members helped place 10,563 Wreaths on the final duty station for veterans interred there.
More than 40 members and cadets from four Massachusetts Civil Air Patrol squadrons braved inclement November weather to march in the Plymouth Thanksgiving Day Parade. Representing the Westover, Hanscom, Pilgrim, and Bridgewater State University Composite Squadrons, the volunteers demonstrated teamwork and commitment to volunteer service.
Four Massachusetts Wing Civil Patrol squadrons put their drill and ceremony skills to the test for the Wing’s Color Guard competition. Hanscom secured the win, placing first place in four scoring categories and second place in three categories, as well as Cadet Master Sgt. Jonathan Weinstein achieving the highest written test score.
Cadets from the Goddard Cadet Squadron of the Massachusetts Wing took the top spot for a documentary video as part of the Civil Air Patrol’s 2024 Col. Joe Kittinger CAP National Aerospace Education High-Altitude Balloon (HAB) Challenge. With the win, the squadron received an Air & Space Forces Association grant of $350.
