Summer Encampment

Why Should I Attend?

Encampment is a prerequisite for the Billy Mitchell Award, the promotion to Cadet Second Lieutenant.  Additionally, attendance is also necessary to attend National Cadet Special Activities (NCSAs). At encampment, cadets hone their leadership ability through hands on training, acquire aerospace expertise, participate in character development, and are challenged to develop their career as cadets.

Who Can Attend?

Any CAP cadet with the Curry Achievement is eligible to attend, but all cadets are encouraged to apply!

Cost

$275 - Cadets

$0 - Seniors

Registration

*Cadets will need to login to their eServices account to register for Basic Encampment or EFLA. Please note that there are three required forms to complete registration. The forms are available in eServices or can be downloaded in advance. CAP Form 160CAP Form 161, and CAP Form 163.*

Basic Encampment - For first-time cadet attendees.

Ecampment Field Leadership Academy (EFLA) - For return attendees who are not staffing the basic encampment. This encampment will follow the learning objectives of the basic encampment, but students will learn the lessons through exposure to emergency services. Last year, most cadets walked away with Ground Team Member 3 ratings!

Staff Registration - All staff to include senior members.

At this time, all registrations will say "waitlisted," as we are not collecting fees yet. Fear not, we have plenty of space. We are waiting on the payment module to open before opening the registration fully.
